Over eighty-five percent of seniors want to remain where they are---their own home---and avoid the hassles of moving to a new home, the loss of privacy of assisted living facilities or relatives’ homes, and the isolation of moving away from their friends and communities. People want to continue to live in their own homes and communities, but as they age, changes in their bodies and health make it difficult. They may have trouble doing the things they enjoyed or even the basic tasks of living such as bathing, dressing, cooking, and cleaning become difficult. Many people just accept this and start limiting their daily activities.
